TORONTO, Ontario, Canada – April 15 , 2009
The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), in partnership with Orangutech Inc., releases My Hospital Care out to the general public on April 15th.
My Hospital Care is a new website promoting better public access to hospital performance information that’s easy-to-understand and navigate.
myhospitalcare.ca allows users to learn more about how Ontario hospitals are performing by location, type of care, or one of 39 different indicators. The web site was built leveraging Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and housed within Microsoft SQL Server 2008 data mart. The choice for selecting Microsoft technologies for this initiative was based upon ease of content management and the need for several key integration elements that SQL Server 2008 best fit into. This web content management and business intelligence solution is a prime example how these Microsoft technologies can be leveraged for public consumption far beyond the typical practice of leveraging SharePoint for web content management alone.
Orangutech Inc. is proud to be a key contributor to the success of this rollout and continues to help support the Ontario Hospital Association on future betterment of healthcare across Ontario.
